Neal Urwitz

Chief Executive Officer & Founder

Neal Urwitz is CEO of Enduring Cause Strategies. He works at the intersection of the policy process and public relations, focusing on leveraging public pressure – including media, third parties, and thought leadership – to impact policy. Neal is committed to bipartisan national security solutions, having worked closely with Republicans in multiple administrations while also serving as a speechwriter for and advisor to Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro from 2021-2023.

 

A PR professional with 20 years’ experience, he has worked with many defense, AI, energy, workforce, and agriculture industry clients on thought leadership and state and federal policy advocacy campaigns. Neal is also a Senior Advisor with Del Toro Global Associates and a Senior Advisor with the AI firm Frontier Foundry.

Before his current positions and his government service, Neal served as Director of External Relations at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), a large national security think tank, and has worked at PR firms including Edelman, Antenna Group, and LEVICK. An op-ed expert, he has ghostwritten and placed op-eds in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post among many others, and has published under his own name in The USA Today, Politico, The Houston Chronicle, CNN.com and FoxNews.com among many others. Neal has provided ghostwritten and placed pieces for politicians, national security officials, CEOs, college presidents, and hedge fund executives.
